# Research & development

> Prototype emerging technologies and turn promising ideas into purposeful solutions for healthcare, education and beyond.

## Explore the possible. Find what’s practical.

Turn an uncertain technology idea into something you can inspect and evaluate. Focused research and prototypes help you decide what is worth building next.

## Fit

For teams testing technical feasibility, exploring an emerging technology or shaping an early product concept.

## Scope

- **Feasibility studies:** Investigate a specific technical question, review constraints and identify the evidence needed for a decision.
- **Proofs of concept:** Build a deliberately bounded prototype around the riskiest assumption rather than an entire unvalidated product.
- **Applied AI research:** Compare approaches on representative inputs and record the limits, trade-offs and evaluation method.
- **Industry product exploration:** Explore software concepts for healthcare, education and other fields with the relevant domain input.

## Process

1. **Frame the question:** Write the assumption, constraints and decision the research should inform.
2. **Build the smallest experiment:** Produce a bounded prototype or study with representative inputs and visible evaluation criteria.
3. **Make the findings useful:** Document what worked, what did not and what evidence is still needed before further investment.

## Examples

### A technical unknown

- Challenge: A promising feature depends on an integration or technical approach that has not been tested.
- Approach: Isolate the uncertain part, build a small probe and evaluate it against explicit constraints.
- Deliverable: A proof of concept, findings and a recommendation to continue, revise or stop.

### An AI experiment

- Challenge: You need to know whether a model-based approach can handle the task reliably enough.
- Approach: Create a representative evaluation set, compare candidate approaches and inspect failure patterns.
- Deliverable: A reproducible experiment with results, limitations and a proposed next step.

### A clinic workflow concept

- Challenge: A future BHMS (homeopathy) clinic needs scheduling, records, billing and follow-ups to work together.
- Approach: Map administrative workflows with domain input and prototype the most important staff journeys.
- Deliverable: An open-source clinic workflow prototype for discussion. This is a planned product direction, not a launched clinic product or medical service.

## FAQ

### Is a prototype ready for production?

Not by default. A prototype tests an assumption. Production readiness requires its own work on security, reliability, accessibility, deployment and maintenance.

### What if the experiment shows the idea is not viable?

That is a useful outcome when it informs a decision. The deliverable should explain the evidence, limitations and whether a different approach is worth exploring.

### Are Juhenza Health and Labs already launched?

They are planned brand directions. Current work starts with software and AI services; future products and verticals should be described as plans until they are actually launched.

## Reference architecture
A reference experiment loop. The useful output is evidence that supports a next step, including a decision to stop.
### Question
Assumption & constraint → Evidence criteria
Identify the uncertainty that blocks a product or technical decision and define how it can be tested.
Review: Agree what result supports continuing, changing direction or stopping the work.
### Experiment
Prototype or spike → Representative test
Build the smallest credible experiment for the uncertainty, with limitations clearly documented.
Review: Distinguish simulated inputs from real observations and record what the experiment cannot prove.
### Decision
Findings & limitations → Next investment
Use the evidence to decide whether a production build is justified and what remains unresolved.
Review: Review reusable work, production gaps, maintenance requirements and the next validation step.
Illustrative planning model; scope and deliverables are agreed per project.

## Technology choices
Use the smallest tool that can answer the question
### Interaction
Wireframes · Clickable prototypes
Use interface prototypes to test understanding and task completion before committing to application engineering.
### Feasibility
TypeScript · Node.js · APIs
Use a technical spike where the unknown concerns an integration, data constraint or implementation approach.
### Evidence
Test inputs · Measurements · Findings
Choose measurements that directly answer the question and make sample limitations explicit.
## Quality checks before handover
### A testable question
Agree what evidence supports proceeding, changing direction or stopping before building the experiment.
### Honest measurement
Record inputs, test conditions and limitations; keep synthetic scenarios distinguishable from real observations.
### A clear decision
Document findings, unresolved risks and production-readiness gaps for the next investment decision.
